As a project after the developer’s hit indie game, Enviro-Bear 2000, The Legend of Bear-Truck Trucker brings back the hilarity of a bear driving a vehicle. You get to do so in side-scroller mode this time and must also grab items to haul them off to the next store on the map.
Physics is your companion
In The Legend of Bear-Truck Trucker, you play as a bear riding a red pick-up truck. Your paw is stretched out by default, allowing you to move it freely with your mouse. The goal is to buy items based on what the nearest stores need, travel to them while making sure that your pile doesn’t fall off your truck, and sell them off to make a profit.
For the controls, you get a tutorial for driving your truck. You need to accelerate, shift gears, brake, and park—even while inside the stores. The trading system is challenging enough—unlike in Townseek, days will pass as you move from place to place—but the real difficult aspect is the ragdoll physics of everything as you travel the roads.
