First-person narrative-based virtual reality RPG

The Last Worker is a single-player VR game revolving around the role of a human worker within a world of automated machines. Players will be immersed within a mechanical and rather dystopian future world, being forced to rely upon the skills to remain employed at a large factory.

The Last Worker was envisioned by the same team associated with gripping virtual reality games, such as The Exorcist: Legion, so fans of RPG platforms will be impressed. Note that this game functions in standard as well as VR modes.

A slightly moral backdrop

While The Last Worker certainly involves a fair amount of first-person gameplay, it also highlights the plight of human workers that are being replaced with automated machinery. Therefore, this platform provides plenty of thought-provoking situations.

Hand-painted 3D characters and environments

All images in the Last Worker were created by artist Mick McMahon (famous for his contributions to Judge Dredd: 2000 AD). Players can, therefore, expect to be immersed n a realistic yet somewhat cartoon-like atmosphere from the very beginning.

A narrative-driven RPG

Users will follow a unique storyline involving a large manufacturing facility purported to be the size of Manhattan. They are required to perform various tasks and complete missions. Failure to do so will result in them being “fired” and essentially losing the game.

A massive collaborative effort

The Last Worker is the result of numerous professional collaborations within the DevOps sector. Combining cutting-edge graphics with professional voiceovers from well-known actors, such as Jason Isaacs, this platform is on par with other games like Deliver Us the Moon in terms of digital aesthetics.
