Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer first-person action game created by Valve. This modern, three-dimensional game is a sequel to the Team Fortress mod for the Quake game. Your job is to play in one of two teams – RED or BLU – and choose one of the nine character classes to battle in various modes. This includes Capture the Flag and King of the Hill.
How many players does TF2 have?
Team Fortress 2 pins two teams to compete in a combat-based game. Each team is composed of mercenaries hired by two feuding brothers. Both brothers are out to destroy each other’s company assets; the teams represent the opposing companies: Reliable Excavation & Demolition (RED) and Builders League United (BLU). You will play as one of the nine character classes in the team with your own unique strengths, weaknesses, and weapons.
In order to work as a team, you will need to accomplish your objectives efficiently. Each team must have a balanced number of skills so each of your strengths and weaknesses interact well with one another. A single class will have three basic elements: primary weapon, secondary weapon, and melee weapon. You will receive rewards for carrying out certain tasks such as scoring a number of kills or completing a round within a certain amount of time.
Five core game modes make up Team Fortress 2: Attack/Defend, Capture the Flag, Control Points, King of the Hill, and Payload. Attack/Defend is the time game mode where the BLU team is tasked with capturing RED control points. Members of the RED team must do their best to prevent the points from being captured. It’s different from Capture the Flag wherein each team has an equal chance of collecting each other’s flags.
