Companions for the Windows taskbar
TaskPals is a free game utility program for PC from developer lazarche. It’s a companion app for the Windows taskbar that adds tiny pixel pets that users can interact with. There are multiple animal types to choose from and a behavior setting that they can configure as they want.
A tiny pixel companion
TaskPals bring some much-needed life to your plain and boring desktop taskbar by introducing tiny pixel pets that roam around its borders. There are eight animals to choose from, including a dog, a turtle, and others. You can interact with your companions by petting them with mouse clicks.
You can also set their default behavior to either friendly or annoyed, and they will act accordingly when you try to interact with them. Now, as they roam around your taskbar, there’s a tendency for them to block icons or text at times. It’s not a major deal, but one worth mentioning.
Simple yet charming
There really isn’t much to TaskPals, but it’s a welcome addition to your desktop to give it some charm. You can pick which animal you like best and interact with them as you want. Just be wary of how you set them up so they don’t get in the way.
