Send recorded messages to others in a cute chorus
Talking Bacteria is an app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that allows you to record your voice and have your words replayed in a chorus.
With a comprehensive explanation page, Talking Bacteria is an easy app to get into even if you’re unfamiliar with how it works. You start off with two blobs of bacteria on your screen. What you do next with Talking Bacteria is entirely up to you. You could choose to poke them or move them around with your finger. Each different touch invokes a different reaction from them. If you speak, the Talking Bacteria blobs will even parrot back your words to you in a chorus.
In addition, Talking Bacteria has small, circular options on the right hand side of your screen that you can also play around with. There is an image of a syringe, a green plus sign, and a doughnut. The syringe makes the bacteria giggle uncontrollably and act silly. The green plus sign creates a pill that, if touched, kills off your bacteria. The doughnut, on the other hand, makes your bacteria multiply if they eat it.
Talking Bacteria requires a microphone if you want to be able to record your voice and share it with others. The app also allows you to share with friends or upload your little message to Youtube. If you play it for too long though, it can get a little dull as there aren’t a huge variety of options.
Overall, Talking Bacteria is a fun voice recording app that has a few extra options to play around with.
