A free adventure card game

Tacape is a free card game developed by PID Games. It follows the story of Lorena and Lucas after getting separated from each other. You will take their roles alternately as you journey through the forest, face various folk figures, and reunite with each other. The characters also have unique abilities that you can employ.

Tacape’s gameplay is simple: you will have to build a deck and create a strategy to defeat the monsters that will come your way. There are more than 100 cards available in the game, which you can use to develop a fool-proof deck against enemies.

Great storyline and fun gameplay

The main charm of Tacape is its good story content. It starts with Lorena finding that her brother, Lucas, has gone missing. She remembers her mother’s story about mysterious folklore creatures living in the forest who kidnap people. With that, Lorena sets out into the woodlands to find her missing brother. Through her journey, she will encounter the inhabitants of the forest that will either help her or attack her.

As mentioned, you can also play from Lucas’ point of view where you will have to fight your way out of the forest and meet with Lorena. However, unlike the sister’s storyline, you’ll need to purchase Lucas’ narrative to play it. You can also restart the campaigns for either of the characters, although you will lose your progress from your previous adventures if you do so.

You will start your battles with five cards, each of which has a mana cost indicated to it. These cards are what you’ll use to attack your enemies and defend yourself. There are over 100 cards to collect throughout your adventures, and you can track all of them in the Collection section. Each character also has an artifact that you can activate during gameplay to protect you or speed up your recovery.

Two excellent elements in one game

With its engaging story and diverse gameplay mechanics, there’s no doubt that Tacape offers a great experience for card game lovers. The possibility of playing between two POVs adds to the charm of this deck-builder. However, keep in mind that Lucas’ storyline does not come for free and that restarting a campaign will result in losing progress from previous adventures.
