Swords on Roach is a mod that allows you to equip a sword to your character, just like in the books. To do this, just press the corresponding key when your character is standing in front of the horse. If you’ve already picked up and equipped another sword, that sword will be added to your inventory. There might be a bug when a scabbard appears without a sword, in which case just wait a little or press any movement key.

You can enable or disable an animation while leaving and taking swords in the menu. The animation only works when your character is standing near the horse.

There are some preset values that you can choose from. If you choose “Front Position”, it’s good for both front and middle swords’ positions, and when it’s OFF, it’s good for back positions. There are also prewritten presets that you can choose.

It’s recommended to use with Sezon Burz Witcher’s Gear mod, since most of the presets were built around its saddle gear. However, you can use any saddle you like. And it’d be great if you shared parameters for some new positions (in a form of option tab screenshots) with others in the comments.

Some clips are unavoidable.

It’s unknown how the mod will work with some of the quests, so save your game and take your swords from Roach before the quests. If the swords disappear from Roach after some cut scenes or quests, or appear on Geralt and not in his inventory, try to set ‘Enable Changes’ to ON in the menu, or save and reload your game.
