Free survival mod for Fallout 4
The Survival Options free mod for Fallout 4 allows you to alter options to increase or decrease your character’s survival abilities. It manifests itself as a holotape toggle function on your Pip-Boy, where you can choose from various options to make your survival a bit more difficult.
Survival Options is a gameplay mod and a helpful player utility. There are no similar mods to Survival Options (except for various language options), but other player utility mods include FO4 Hotkey, Fallcomplete, and Immersive First Person Settings.

Survival Options is jam-packed with toggles to create a custom survival experience in Fallout 4’s wastelands. Here are some features:

User requirements and compatibility
Anything that edits hc_manager will be incompatible with Survival Options.
Survival Options requires no other mods to be installed to function correctly; it only needs the base game installed. This mod is used to align it with the Fallout 4 Horizon overhaul mod. All survival options are defaulted to Horizon levels but can now be adjusted via the Pip-Boy holotape to make gameplay more challenging or easier.
Certain mods will require Survival Options to operate. There’s a fix to receive the holotape that works with your Pip-Boy, but you can craft the holotape at a chem station if you miss that.
