Surah Al-Mulk, which means The Royal Grace, is one of the most important chapters of the Quran. It is the twenty-fifth chapter and the last chapter in the Quran. The word Al-Mulk is derived from the Arabic word Al-Mawul, meaning The Royal. This Surah is a long one and it has many different meanings.
There are many hadiths that explain the benefits of reciting this Surah. In a hadith, Prophet Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite it.” (Tirmidhi 2885/A).
This means that, on the Day of Resurrection, those who recite the Quran will have the reward of the reciter of the Quran. If you recite the Qur’an, then it is as if you are giving a gift to the Prophet (may Allah be pleased with him).
