Virtual reality bullet time shooter
SUPERHOT VR is a redesigned version of the first person shooter simulator for VR headsets. Battle through hordes of polygonal enemies by picking up any weapon at your disposal and a clever bullet time system useful for dodging attacks.
Shooter reality
After the standard version received generally positive reviews for its original shooter system, SUPERHOT VR presents the natural move for the game into virtual reality. The gameplay focuses on time manipulation, bending and stopping time with your movements as you battle against hundred of faceless enemies by taking their weapons and dodging their attacks. This ducking and diving style of movement works great with a VR headset, breathing new life into the fairly simplistic game. SUPERHOT VR features basic simulation style stick-men and blank levels, a conceptual choice reflecting the nature of the setting but one which precludes any long play sessions. Despite this, it is still a really engaging world to explore in VR and a great pick up for system owners.
Short on time
SUPERHOT VR is a fantastic experience which plays like the bullet time sections from The Matrix films. While it is more of a quick occasional game than a full length release, the action is some of the best around and well worth the price.
