Save the Princess
Super Mario Advance 2 is an adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) handheld console. It is a remake of the classic Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) game, Super Mario World, and was released as part of the Super Mario Advance series, which included updated versions.
Super Mario Advance 2 was well received by critics and fans alike, praised for its faithful recreation of the original game and the addition of new features. It remains a popular title among Mario fans and is considered one of the best platformers on the GBA.
A great remake
The plot of Super Mario Advance 2 is the same as the original Super Mario World. The game takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom, where Mario and his brother Luigi receive a message from Princess Toadstool (later known as Princess Peach) inviting them to her castle. When they arrive, they find that Bowser and his Koopalings have taken over the castle and imprisoned the princess and her servants in eggs.
Mario and Luigi set out on a quest to rescue the princess and defeat Bowser and his minions. They navigate through various levels, each with its unique challenges and enemies, and collect powerups to help them along the way. These powerups include mushrooms that make the brothers grow in size, fire flowers that give them the ability to shoot fireballs, and capes that allow them to fly.
Throughout the game, Mario and Luigi must also collect dragon coins hidden in each level to unlock secret paths and levels. Eventually, the brothers face off against Bowser and his Koopalings in a final battle to save the princess and restore peace to the Mushroom Kingdom. However, while the updated graphics and multiplayer mode are nice additions, the gameplay remains largely the same as the original Super Mario World.
Stunning graphics
The overall gameplay experience of Super Mario Advance 2 is a classic and enjoyable 2D side-scrolling platformer that stays true to the Mario franchise’s roots. The game’s controls are intuitive and responsive, allowing players to easily navigate through the various levels and defeat enemies. It provides a fun and engaging gameplay experience that stays true to the classic Mario formula.
