The first video game centering on Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a premium action-adventure title for PC by Rocksteady Studios. It’s a superhero game based on the DC Comics antihero team, the Suicide Squad. It features an open world built around the fictional city of Metropolis and will focus on four core members.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will serve as a continuation of Batman: Arkham Knight, and will be the first game not to center around the caped crusader as the main playable protagonist. It can be played solo or with friends and strangers in multiplayer co-op.
What is it about?
The game is set in the universe set by Batman: Arkham Knight. Amanda Waller creates this task force composed of Arkham Asylum inmates for a covert mission in Metropolis. Little do they know that Brainiac has invaded Earth and brainwashed everyone, including most of the Justice League members.
With no one to turn to for help, it’s up to the team to save the world by assassinating the Justice League and stopping Brainiac. The game features four of the group’s members, namely Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. If you play solo, you can switch between your characters and the others will be AI-controlled. You can opt for co-op multiplayer with your friends, as well.
The game will pit you against Justice League members, Superman, Flash, and Green Lantern as they stand in your way of stopping Brainiac. Outside of a few teaser and gameplay trailers, though, there is very little information known about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. However, the developers have stated that it will tackle mature and violent content, so it may not be for younger audiences to play.
The big debut for Task Force X
Thanks in no small part to the popularity of the Batman: Arkham Series and the help of the Hollywood, DC Comics’ popular antihero team is finally getting its own video game. Based on early previews and trailers, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to a rather interesting game worth keeping an eye out for. Here’s to hoping more details get released soon.
