Basic photo editing for casual users
Most users don’t need a massive graphic suite like Photoshop to work on their images. A smaller, more simple solution like Splashup Light will do the trick.
Splashup Light is actually a stripped-down version of Splashup, a complete online image editor with loads of brushes, special filters, support for layers and more. Splashup Light doesn’t include that many features, but works perfectly well for casual image editing.
All the tools included in Splashup Light are organized in two main categories: Effects and Editing. For a simple, free image editor, the truth is that you can find a wide variety of effects (blur, desaturate, colorize, sepia, enhance, emboss, fix red eyes, adjust levels…) and editing tools (resize, rotate, crop, flip and more).
Splashup Light applies all changes on the spot and offers real-time preview of the results. You can zoom and pan the image to work more comfortably, and also undo any action at any moment. The only drawback to Splashup Light is, in fact, its highly limited support for file formats: it only works with JPG and PNG.
Splashup Light is an interesting alternative image editor for basic photo editing tasks.
