Next-generation action game

Soulstice is a fantasy action game that allows you to explore a dark world, and combat against dark forces and mysteries. You’re immersed in the lives of two sisters and slash your way through vicious monsters and boss fights. The game is created by an indie developer, Reply Game Studios.

The developers are known for their creative approach in making action-adventure games, so don’t be surprised if this game will amaze you. The game can be easily compared to the Dark Souls games with its blended Japanese and European action styles.

Goosebumps in every slash

Soulstice introduces you to two sisters, Briar and Lute, who are reborn as Chimera. Briar gains superhuman strength and resilience. Meanwhile, Lute was sacrificed to bind her soul to her sister’s, and becomes a ghost with mystical powers. The twosome goes on a mission to reclaim the Holy Kingdom of Keidas from the Wraiths—feral creatures that threaten to consume the living and possess their bodies.

The game is 70% combat, while the remaining 30% is dedicated to exploring the world. You will use the same abilities for combat to explore and interact with your environment. However, while it may look Bloodborne or Dark Souls, the combat style of the game is fast-paced and completely hack-and-slash. You can compare it to the combat modes of Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, and Nier.

The game developer, Samuele Perseo, is Italian and was inspired by animes when he was a kid. So you’ll expect a combination of Japanese and European styles in the game’s design. Hence, you should expect almost the same amount of gore and blood as you tear through the bodies of the Wraiths and bosses. Unfortunately, the game is very detailed and graphics-heavy, so it requires at least a 64-bit system.

Captivatingly dark

Soulstice is an action-packed game that will definitely make you fall in love with both its story and the atmosphere. The game combat style is fast-paced, but still quite enjoyable. Plus, the overall design of the game, from the blood splatters to the details of the characters, will captivate your eyes. However, one big downside is that the game doesn’t support 32-bit systems.
