Strange and addictive skiing fun on your iPhone
Ski on Neon is an addictive skill game in which you need to jump as high as you can to succeed.
Anyone who has played Tiny Wings before will be instantly familiar with the gameplay of Ski on Neon. Hold your finger down to crouch and gain speed while going downhill, then release it when you’re going up the other side to gain air. Timing is everything in Ski on Neon, and the game is very tricky. You’ll need lots of practice in order to master it.
Gameplay in Ski on Neon is more varied than in Tiny Wings. There are several different game modes and challenges, each set over different levels. There’s even a ‘pass-and-play’ multiplayer mode which lets you involve your friends in the fun.
Graphically, Ski on Neon isn’t that exciting. The neon effects are well produced but it gets a bit boring to look at all that black, and there’s little variation between levels except for the color of the lines, which change every time you play.
There are some small things about Ski on Neon that we’d like to be improved. There’s no pause button to freeze the in-game action and you can’t restart a level until it’s finished, which gets frustrating if you know you won’t make it anyway. Also, the jump-o-meter doesn’t display the height of your previous jump, and always resets itself to zero straight away, so you never know if you’ve made the target or not until the end of the level.
Ski on Neon is an addictive and very challenging iOS game that will frustrate and excite you in equal measure!
