Free outfit mod for Hogwarts Legacy
Short Student Skirts is a free-to-use game utility, developed by the VillageMods team. This mod introduces a small aesthetic change to the fantasy role-playing game from Avalance Software, Hogwarts Legacy. As the name suggests, this shortens the skirts and robes for all students in Hogwarts.
Coming in a small file size, this minor aesthetic change doesn’t affect gameplay in any way. If anything, it adds a casual feel to the game set in the 1800s. Other games related to the franchise include Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Spice up your wizard wardrobe
The Short Student Skirts mod adds a small stylistic change, which adds a modern feel to the game. Hogwarts Legacy was set in the 1800s, about a century before the Harry Potter novels. It’s worth noting that there are different skirt patterns in the game, accessible when you customize your character before the game. Having the mod offers additional fashion choices for you.
Also, it works on robes, for those looking to test it out on more traditional witch and wizard outfits. For the file itself, it comes in a small file size of only about 962 KB. You can also install it manually or use any of the community-developed mod managers. Once installed, it’s automatically added into the game, without the ability to toggle it on or off.
Despite being a minor mod for the fantasy RPG, there are still a couple of optimization issues. One is the tendency of your character’s legs to clip under certain conditions. For example, when you run, there are times when the clipping isn’t in order, making other elements animate separately from the skirt. Also, there are risks of conflict when other mods are in play.
A small style change
Overall, Short Student Skirts is a fun little add-on to Hogwarts Legacy. By introducing miniskirts into the game, players suddenly have a new class of outfit options. It doesn’t affect gameplay in any way, although it can use additional fixes. Small bugs such as clipping issues when moving, or causing conflicts when used with other mods. Still, it’s worth checking out.
