Shards of Gravity is a free adventure game for PC created by indie developer BlueCrystalStudio. It’s a 2D platformer that has players embark on a journey across multiple locations and environments in search of gravity shards. These mysterious fragments can be used to craft weapons of unimaginable power.
Similar to Crowsworn and The Last Faith, Shards of Gravity features Metroidvania-style skill tree and progression mechanic. It also utilizes a level-based stat point system that allows for greater flexibility and character customization. Shards of Gravity takes place in a mystical world wherein artifacts called gravity shards exist. These mysterious fragments hold unimaginable power and can be used to craft all sorts of armaments, from weapons to enchantments, and relics. You play as a would-be adventurer who sets on a perilous journey across the land in pursuit of these elusive and magical items.
This game features a sprawling world spread across 6 unique locations, each with its own unique environment and dangers to face. There are more than 30 enemy types for you to encounter and defeat throughout your journey. You also get over 50 platforming challenges that you need to solve in order to progress. Level up to gain stat points that you can distribute to various attributes as you like.
What’s more, you can collect over 20 special items to help strengthen your character along with the various weapons, enchantments, and relics you can craft using gravity shards. One important thing to note before diving in is that this game is still in active development. You should expect the bugs you’ll encounter in your playthrough to get addressed in future updates, as well as more content to come.
