Search and replace text in multiple files and filenames

There’s nothing worse than having hundreds of files which are all named randomly, and finding what you want is like finding a needle in a haystack.

If you need to find information within those files then your task is even harder. It can be painstaking to go through them one by one while you look for the text you need to edit. Search&Replace is a powerful batch-processing application for text files which is designed to replace the content and names that you want to modify in just a click. It’s aimed at those that have little or no computer knowledge so it’s very straightforward to use.

So for example, let’s say that you’ve got a 100 word documents with a wrong name in them. Search&Replace can go through them and in just a few seconds, replace the wrong name with the correct one or just delete them completely. The success rate is however dependent on your document or target words not containing any foreign or unusual letters. It uses the same principle to replace files names. If you’ve named several files wrongly, or they’re all generic, you can search and replace them easily.

As long as you don’t need to replace unusual characters, Search&Replace is a very fast and functional text searching tool that will fulfill most of your needs.
