Its features make SCP: CB Nine Tailed Fox Mod an essential for every fan of the community-driven universe. While you’re at it, also check SCP: Containment Breach – Unity.
Explore the larger creepypasta universe
For those unfamiliar, SCP stands for “Secure, Contain, and Protect,” which is the main objective of the fictional secret organization SCP Foundation. It is a community-driven universe where every unique creature or object is designated as a numbered SCP. This includes the original SCP-173 “The Sculpture” or SCP-682, the “Indestructible Reptile.” SCP: CB Nine Tailed Fox Mod builds upon this lore and makes a great job of it.
For starters, the mod replaces the seemingly helpless Class-D Personnel into one of the elite MTF Epsilon-11, also known as the Nine Tailed Fox unit. This time, your character is more resilient and can fend off against a lot of attacks, thanks to its functional weapons. Also, the MTF member has a health bar, instead of the one-hit-kill Class-D, giving you more incentives to fight instead of hiding and running.
However, it’s a lot harder than the original game. With the Class-D character, evasion and survival is the main instinct of players. Meanwhile, this allows you to fight back similar to Half-Life 2, but enemies deal a range of damage: from minor cuts to one-hit-kills. Aside from the difficulty, the game suffers from a few performance bugs, making the game even more unpredictable.
A treat for the community
Storywise, SCP: CB Nine Tailed Fox Mod gives fans of the franchise the idea that humans can fight back against SCPs, but only to a certain extent. Better yet, it requires knowledge of the lore behind them to have an idea of what each opponent can do. This game is a great improvement over the original, although it still suffers from minor gameplay issues. Highly recommended.
