Instant Banking Services
Nowadays more and more banks are creating their own apps to help their customers. This enables the app users to do banking transactions with a few taps and without needing to visit any branch. SBI Quick is a banking app offered by the State Bank of India. This app allows you to make inquiries regarding your bank account such as checking your balance or getting a mini statement thru missed calls or SMS.
App Registration
SBI Quick provides its service over a missed call or SMS. Customers can send a pre-defined keyword or let the provided number ring for a few minutes to avail the service that they need. While it does not allow any bank transaction such as bank transfer, you can make unlimited bank inquiries using this app.
There is no login or password required in this app. However, you need to register your number to activate the services. To register, you will need to send your account number to the mobile number provided by the bank. A confirmation message will be sent to you to indicate whether your registration is successful or not. Users must ensure that the mobile number from which the confirmation message is sent is updated with the bank.
Additionally, you can only use one mobile number for one account at any point in time. If you want to change the account number for a particular mobile number, you will need to de-register SBI quick from the first account and register again for the second account.
Once registered, you can use the app to send inquiry. SBI Quick does not need an internet connection as it uses missed calls and SMS.
Unlimited Inquiries
As mentioned, SBI Quick does not allow users to conduct any bank transaction. But you can use the app to inquire about your account and other bank services.
Upon launching the app, the homepage will give you the list of the services you can avail. Under the Account Services tab, you can get the last clear balance on your bank account. You can also get a mini statement of your last five transactions as well as an e-statement for the last six months. The account services tab also gives you an easy way to request for an education loan interest certificate and a home loan interest certificate.
Users must note that only balance inquiry and mini statement offer missed calls and SMS options. The rest of the services under the account services tab can only be accessed using the SMS option since it requires you to send your account number and a 4-digit code of your choice. The app will use this code to encrypt the PDF attachment that the bank will send to your registered email.
In addition to account services, the app also comes with an ATM card configuration option. This tab allows you to easily block ATM cards and switch on and off ATM usage. SBI Quick also has a Product Information tab which lets you get the latest features of the bank’s home loan and car loan products.
SBI Quick services are free of charge. However, your mobile service provider may charge you for every inquiry you send. You can check the responses for your requested services in your device’s message inbox.
Banking Inquiries Made Easy
Visiting a bank branch can be time-consuming, especially if you only need to inquire about your account. Luckily, there’s an app such as SBI Quick that makes it easier for you. The app, while only limited to inquiries, offers you a convenient way to get information. With options to send a quick SMS or missed, you can get the service you want in just a few clicks. It will definitely make your banking life a little easier.
