The Satfinder Quick Dish Aligner is an easy-to-use tool for setting up your satellite receiver to receive the strongest signal possible from the satellite broadcaster of your choice.
This app uses the GPS sensor of your device to detect your location and to calculate the azimuth angle and the elevation of the satellite. It also uses the phone sensor to detect the shaking of the device and to determine whether there is an obstacle between the device and the satellite. If the device is not in a proper position, the app will tell you what you need to do to get it in the right position.
To use:
Choose the antenna, which could be a parabolic, offset, planar antenna, or satellite dish.
Select the satellite of your choice. Look through the table and select a certain satellite. Using the search bar, you can also look up satellites by name.
For a smooth reception of signal strength, there must be no blockage between the satellite and your dish antenna.
Place your phone in the proper orientation for the antenna and the dish. The device will automatically vibrate when pointed in the exact direction of the preferred satellite.
