Block ads in Safari

Firefox users have a wide choice of extensions to block ads and pop-ups on their browser. Safari users don’t have such a wide selection, but Safari AdBlock makes for a decent choice.

Safari AdBlock is an easy-to-install plug-in which gives you a choice between general and advanced options. No configuration is necessary and it’s ready to go as soon as you install it.If you do want to configure the advanced options, you don’t have to mess about with System Preferences as Safari AdBlock has a handy toolbar button which configures everything.

There’s not much to complain about with Safari AdBlock, although it doesn’t show you which sites have been blocked which may be an issue for some users.

Safari AdBlock blocks ads in Safari. It is free of charge and under the GPL license. Safari AdBlock is meant to be extremely simple to use: there is nothing to configure, no filter list to manage, no regular expression, it just works out of the box!
