Cause mayhem as a transforming robot
Robot War: Robot Transform is a free action game that puts you in control of a destructive transforming robot. Change your robot’s shape and use its arsenal of weapons to mow down enemies and blast away vehicles until you complete your mission.
The game borrows its graphical theme from Transformers titles like Transformers The Game. At the same time, it incorporates mechanics influenced by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The emphasis is less on saving the world and more on causing mayhem.
Three transformations for your robot
Robot War: Robot Transform allows you to shift your character between three forms. In robot form, he can run and jump and has an array of punches and projectiles to use in combat. The car mode is more limited, having only two weapons and being confined to roads. Plane mode offers full flight but just one weapon: a missile.
Three gameplay modes
Robot War: Robot Transform has three gameplay modes: GTA, boss, and challenge mode. In GTA mode, you are free to roam the city and complete missions based on killing enemies and collecting coins. The boss mode pits you against a series of foes, including Doll, Cerberus and Glamrock Freddy. Challenge mode gives you specific objectives, like reaching a certain location.
Not an official Transformers title
Robot War: Robot Transform is not an officially-licensed Transformers game. Although the two playable characters are called Optimus and Devastator (names lifted from the Transformers franchise), they bear no resemblance to the original characters of those names.
Some aspects are better than others
The game doesn’t quite live up to its premise. For one, the car mode is too limited to be of much use, so most players will stick to robot and plane modes. It also lacks variety in terms of settings. Still, the vehicle-destroying mayhem that your laser-blasting robot can cause does provide some entertaining moments.
