Anime-inspired rhythm game
Rizline is a free music title developed by LTGames Global. It’s a rhythm game that draws inspiration from anime and manga for its graphics and art style. In it, players will go on a musical journey of colors and sounds by connecting dots and lines.
Much like Sonolus or Osu!droid, Rizline is a game that challenges players with rapid pace and precise timing, all while making sure they never skip a beat. It boasts a clean and minimalistic presentation that places all emphasis and focus on the melody and has them immerse themselves in the music.
Sliding into the melody
From the moment you open Rizline, you’ll see a grid of discs akin to old-school CDs that are adorned with cool artwork inspired by anime. There are only a few tracks available, but you’ll unlock more as you clear more levels. The type of song to choose from mostly revolves around the electronic music genre, each one having its own difficulty level and tempo to challenge players.
As for gameplay, it starts you off slow and simple with only a single line to follow. The goal is to time your taps with notes represented by orbs, and hold for sustained ones. As you progress, the challenge will gradually ramp up with three or more lanes to control and a quick succession of taps and slides to land correctly as your combo counter increases.
Your performance will be scored with corresponding stars of up to five depending on how well you did. So, aim for the best scores and compete with others on the online global leaderboards. Now, as mentioned, rhythm games are generally easy to get into, but their difficulty can ramp up quite fast. If you’re new to these types of games, you will encounter a steep difficulty curve at the beginning.
Pretty and punishing
If you like rhythm games and want to have a nice challenge, then Rizline is a solid title worth considering. It combines intuitive controls with a minimalistic presentation, with a dash of anime flourishes throughout. If you’re new to the genre, it can be quite daunting at first, but stick with it and you’ll have a nice time mastering it.
