Exciting and unique arcade-style truck racing game

Rig Racer is a virtual racing game that embraces an entirely unique approach to competition. As opposed to players having access to fast-paced cars, they are instead provided with a selection of trucks to choose from. Competitions take place throughout Europe and as there are a number of interesting circuits, something new and exciting is never far off. While this game was originally developed for personal computers, it is also compatible with third-party systems such as Sony PlayStation.

Basic Game Strategy

After selecting a specific truck, the player will compete against other drivers on closed courses. Each track is quite unique and as should be expected, the twists and turns become more challenging as one advances through the levels. Money can be collected during each race and even larger bonuses are provided for a win. These funds can then be used to repair the truck or to purchase upgrades along the way.

Other Features

Rig Racer was one of the first games to incorporate outside weather conditions such as snow and rain into its design. So, players will have to negotiate with these elements as well. Pit stops at various locations can be accessed if any repairs need to be made during the race. If these are not used, damages will be deducted from any winnings.

Massively heavy Super Trucks speed round racing circuits. The player must learn to control 5 tonnes of power cruising at a top speed of 160mph. Crashing into each other, slamming the barriers, or sliding over the sand and grass that line the circuit are all possibilities if the driver gets it wrong – controlling these mammoths of the racing world is not for the faint hearted!

Players are not allowed to leave the track for too long, or suffer penalties to their time. Damage taken from bad driving also costs time, but can be repaired for free be entering the pit lane. The driving experience is realistic, fast and very heavy – giving an instantly different feel compared to any other racing game.
