Revenge of the Enemy – Xbox Game Review
In Revenge of the Enemies, you play as a warrior-paladin of the Silver Hand who is forced to join the throng of enemies against the armies of the Lich King and his allies. The game has a strong fantasy theme combined with a great story line that grabs the player’s attention from the word go. Unlike other games that are made to appeal to the gaming tastes of younger audiences or those who enjoy playing games that have guns and other war-related stuff in them, this game is more focused on having an interesting storyline that makes it different from the other games that are made for this type of theme.
This game starts after the events of the first game Shattering the Frozen Throne, wherein the Lich King launches an attack on the Alliance with his undead army. Your task is to help the Alliance defeat this new enemy and prevent the invasion of the Lich King into therealm. During your journey you will also learn about the history of the Silver Hand, about how Artha was abandoned as a child by the Sunwell, and the betrayal of the Eredar. You will also find out that the Silver Hand became the Scourge that hunting down the remnants of the elves and humans during the battle of Argus. This game is not just about revenge but is about redemption, the fight for freedom, and how the powerful forces of the Alliance and the Horde stand together against the seemingly unstoppable forces of the Lich King.
The game has a very deep storyline that makes you feel like you’re part of the action. Unlike the early part of the game where most of the storyline happens off-screen until the final battle, the second half of the game includes more visuals, more voice-overs, and more text to tell the story. Some of the cut scenes in the game are beautiful to look at, and I especially loved the one where Thrall, the human enemy of the Alliance, gives his speech after his dramatic betrayal of the Horde. The game’s sound effects and music really helped make me feel like I was part of the action, and I can’t wait to see what the game has in store for us in the next few months.
