Fast and accurate retro-style racing game
Redout is said to be a tribute to classic racing games such as F-Zero and POD. Thus, fans of Nintendo and similar platforms will be very pleased with what this reboot has to offer. The physics are said to be excellent and vehicles will respond much as they would within a real-world scenario. These metrics are enhanced through the deployment of Unreal Engine 4. The end result is a white-knuckle ride with surprises around every turn.
Features and Usability
The main feature of Redout is sheer speed. Developers claim that it is the fastest game of its kind ever created. Still, the options to be enjoyed are nearly limitless. Player-versus-player modes are available. Full 5.1 audio support adds an extra sense of realism during competitions. There are no less than seven different events to choose from and a “career mode” provides well over 100 different races. This game is set in a post-apocalyptic environment.
Extra Options
Fans of virtual reality will be happy to learn that Redout supports hardware such Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. It is possible to compete with up to 12 additional players and as the user can create his or her own racing team, strategy will often play an important role alongside speed.
