Listen to radio stations from around the world
Radium is a discreet internet radio player that sits in your Menu Bar and is designed to be simple, intuitive, and lightweight.
Radium has a powerful search box that features thousands of stations such as BBC Radio, Sky.fm and CBC Public radio. You can even add your own streams although it isn’t clear how you do this. The stations cover everything from well known to obscure stations and the amount of choice is staggering. There are literally thousands of channels to choose from although some of them are very obscure stations in languages other than English.
However, you can search for channels instantly in Radium using the search box and simply typing “BBC” for example reveals all of the BBC channels available. It’s considerably quicker than having to go to each individual BBC microsite individually even for a BBC fan like me. Streaming is stable, smooth and sound quality is high.
Radium is an excellent lightweight radio player than every radio lover should have installed on their Mac..
