TBoI – What You Need to Know About TBoI
One of the most popular mods for New Vegas is the TBoI’s Enhanced New Vegas NPC – Qwinn’s Refined FNV Redesigned 3. This mod is designed to take existing vanilla NV quests and make them better, adding richer content, better rewards, as well as more challenging end-game content. There have been several versions of this mod released over the past few years and it has quickly become one of the most popular among NV players. For this reason many people wish that there was an official release of Qwinn’s Refined FNV Redesigned 3 but many of these people are waiting for the official release of TBoI. Here is a quick update on the status of the mod, where we expect it to be ranked in the future, and some news on what people can look forward to with this new release.
First up, let us have a quick look at what TBoI’s Refined FNV Redesigned 3 contains: three major areas of content, over 25 unique quests, and over 15 new radiant quests. All content in TBoI is created with the purpose of making the game more challenging, both when finishing quests and also while running through the game, because there are now more things that can affect game play, like certain weather conditions and terrain features, that can either make or break quests in TBoI. Also, for those who don’t know, the new Radiant quest path was created by Qwinn, who is also the developer for TBoI, along with his partner Alex. These people have worked hard to improve the overall quality of the mod, and to introduce new features that make the game better overall.
The story line of TBoI in general, and the Radiant quest path in particular, is that you play as an orphaned Merchant. The Merchant is on the run from the authorities and must find a way to pay for his passage to a port and get back home again. Along the way, he’ll encounter some of the characters from the game’s earlier versions, and also new people, like the female Radiant, and some of the original Qwinn characters. The goal is to help the old character get home, without getting captured, and to complete his journey, without dying, or without becoming a prisoner in the game’s version of justice.
