A no-frills ragdoll game that tests your patience
Push Master is an arcade game that harnesses the laws of physics and the angst of a subway train commute to test the player’s patience.
Developed by Tatsumaki Games, the makers of Fall Ragdoll and Draw Creatures, Push Master uses ragdoll physics in the way that Ragdoll Masters and Rubber Ninjas do. However, it does this with the aim of scoring points for a perfectly timed push.
Who can play it?
This PEGI-3-rated free arcade game is available to players with Android devices. However, the theme itself may not be deemed suitable for young children, as it involves waiting on a platform to push a bystander onto an oncoming train. Also, as it’s free, the game is laden with ads.
How does it work?
The game’s description (“do not push the man”) is misleading. The whole point of this ragdoll game is to push the ragdoll from a platform at the right time so that the oncoming train pushes it the farthest distance possible. This macabre task is carried out as the ragdoll has its back toward the player.
What’s special about it?
This ragdoll game doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. The developer has come up with newer levels, like freeway and cliff settings, to address the fact that the environment is dull and repetitive. Still, the game itself lacks motivation and purpose other than a curiosity about how ragdolls roll and limbs flail on train tracks.
A senseless pushing game
Push Master does just what its name suggests, testing the players’ patience and reflexes. It also sees how well players can hold their nerves at critical moments before delivering a well-timed push. However, it does so at the expense of common decency and with the potential to trivialize senseless acts of evil.
