Liquid physics puzzles!
Puddle is a physics-based puzzle game, that looks similar to World of Goo, but plays completely differently.
Every level of this short game requires you to tilt the world, so that a puddle of liquid is transported along to an end point. There are obstacles along the way, such as flames and electrical sparks, and while you can afford to lose some liquid, if you lose it all it’s game over.
Puddle is very short, but it’s a great concept. The tilt mechanism can be controlled via the keyboard or and Xbox controller, and is really simple. You can’t see the whole level when you start, so sometimes you run into trouble you weren’t expecting. This isn’t very frustrating though, because you can always restart a level, and Puddle’s great fun to play.
Each level of Puddle is differently themed. They really do look fantastic, and have obviously been designed with a lot of care. The X-Ray level is particularly impressive, and to have such cool graphics mixed with gameplay as enjoyable as this is great. Puddle is really fun, but it’s also very short in its current form.
Puddle is a great looking pick-up-and-play puzzle game that is well worth downloading.
