Futuristic PUBG

The PUBG franchise extends further with the addition of PUBG: New Slate, a new addition to the growing list of the popular massively multiplayer online action game franchise. This game catapults the players into the year 2051 and on a new map called Troi, featuring futuristic weapons that you can use to defeat the enemies. PUBG: New Slate is a free-to-play game. However, it requires devices running Android 6.0 or higher and at least 2.5GB of RAM.

PUBG: New Slate plays out like PUBG: Mobile. You, and 99 other players, will be dropped to the island of Troi, and you will duke it out until one player or team remains standing. There will be futuristic weapons, such as combat shields and drones at your disposal. Aside from other players, there is also the threat of the Blue Zone, that is ever-shrinking.  Get caught up in it, and it is game over for you.

However, while its battle royale gameplay is nothing new, New Slate does offer new things that will shake up the formula of the PUBG franchise. For one, it comes with in-game weapon customization options. With this, you can modify your weapon within a match in a way that’s similar to Apex Legend’s attachments system. Unlike other free-to-play mobile games, the game also offers cosmetic-only microtransaction. You don’t have to pay to win the matches.

New Slate also boasts ultra-realistic graphics that surpasses the standard for mobile gaming. You can explore the massive 8×8 KM open world and enjoy realistic gunplay. However, with graphics such as this, the game can push even the beefiest gaming smartphone to its limit. As noted, it requires Android 6.0 or higher to run. The game is also resource-intensive and needs at least 2.5 GB of memory to give you the optimal experience. 

Promising PUBG title

Overall, PUBG: New Slate is a promising game for fans of the PUBG series. The game offers new and futuristic elements that you don’t often see on battle royale games available today. It comes with a massive, highly detailed open world that you can explore.  It also offers more customization options compared to the previous titles. However, the game is resource-heavy and can push even your new smartphone to its limit.
