Free action-packed RPG
Princess Connect! Re: Dive is a free Japanese role-playing game from Cygames that is a direct sequel to the terminated mobile game, Princess Connect. This game allows players to control the characters that they have before. It offers real-time battles in both PvP and PvE modes. This title blends both anime and role-playing games, bringing players beautiful animations. However, prepare a large amount of storage space as it takes a large chunk of memory.
What the game offers
Princess Connect! Re: Dive is a real-time action-RPG. The game lets you create a party of up to five members and participate in various modes, including the main arena and the PvP modes. You can also form clans and join clan battles, similar to raid battles in MMORPGs. The game comes with more than 50 heroines—unlockable through gacha mechanics. You can also exchange them with character-specific memory pieces. However, character exchange is not possible for event-exclusive characters.
Every character comes with one Union Burst. These are powerful skills you can manually activate once their TP in-game is fully charged. They also have two skills, which are automatically activated at predetermined times, and an EX skill, which are stat-gaining skills activated at the start of a battle. Of course, there’s also the automatic regular attack that you can use. Be warned, however, that the game doesn’t allow you to do much in terms of controls. Excluding the Union Burst, everything in this game is automatic.
As noted, the game combines anime and RPG elements. With this, players can expect gorgeous cut-in animations and mesmerizing cinematics. The game also boasts a full story. However, it has too many downloads. Every story requires an update download, which can be a hassle. Worse, every instance of downloading comes with a large file size, which eats a lot of your memory space.
Is the game worth downloading?
All in all, Princess Connect! Re: Dive is worth a try if you are into character-collection gacha games. More than the varied characters, the game also has a good story presented in anime-like visuals. There is nothing much in terms of gameplay, though, since the game is fully automatic. Moreover, it requires a lot of downloads, which will eat up a huge chunk of your storage.
