Power Track: Real-time Map of UK Power Cuts

Power Track is a free iPhone app developed by SSE Plc in the Utilities & Tools category. This app provides users with a map displaying current power cuts in UK areas managed by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks. The app aims to update its mapping system in real time, providing relevant information such as fault reference numbers, emergency service center numbers, affected areas by post code, time of power outage, next status update time, expected engineer arrival time, time of fault resolution, and locations of electric vehicle charge points near power cuts.

The app features pins on a map overlay, indicating the areas affected by power cuts. Tapping on a pin provides users with more information about the specific problem. Power Track also offers a summary list of reported power cuts. Users can register and receive automatic updates on any current power cut(s), including information on next status updates, engineer arrival times, fault resolution times, and confirmation of fault resolution.

Note: When a fault is resolved, it will no longer be visible on Power Track, and push notifications will no longer link to the fault. In cases of severe weather conditions affecting a large part of the network area(s), Power Track will provide updates for the entire affected area instead of individual faults.
