More than 40 levels of pure arcade fun

If you miss those endless Asteroids games you used to play in the arcades when you were a child, you’re going to love Power Manga.

Despite its confusing name, which may lead you to think this is a Japanese comic book, Power Manga follows the standard structure of an Asteroids clone, putting you in control of a small spaceship that must battle through waves of enemies and floating space rocks.

Power Manga features more than 40 levels of pure arcade fun, with hundreds of different enemy creatures (from a very well-organized wave of small spaceships to the big final boss at the end of each level) and a varied selection of weapons and other bonuses. On the downside, the graphics are far from wonderful, but in a way it’s this pixelated design is precisely what makes Power Manga even more appealing.

The game may feel a bit repetitive after a few levels – especially if you’re not much of an arcade fan – but if you loved Asteroids 25 years ago this is a must-have.

Power Manga is the perfect game for a short break off work – especially if you enjoyed the classic Asteroids as a child.
