A skin retouching plugin for Photoshop
Portraiture is a photography program that was developed by Imagenomic for desktop. It’s a plugin that can be used with the popular photo editing software, Adobe Photoshop with the main focus on skin retouching of subjects in various portrait photos. Users can easily make retouches on the fly with plenty of control options.
Other image editors that have portrait retouching features like Beauty Retouch and Snapheal operate as dedicated programs. On the other hand, Portraiture serves as a plugin that can be easily integrated with Adobe Photoshop, making it a lot easier to learn and use, especially for those who are already familiar with it.
How is Portraiture used?
Portraiture features a well-organized user interface that makes it quite easy and intuitive. When you first open an image file, control sliders will be available to you on the left side and are divided into three sections. First off, you have Smoothing, which will let you apply various smoothing effects to your photos, and adjust how strong they will be.
Next, there’s the Skin Mask section. Here you can adjust your subjects’ skin tones. In addition, there are sliders to tweak for feathering, opacity, and fuzziness. The last one is Enhancements that will let you adjust the sharpness and detail levels of your photos. This same tab also has adjustment sliders for brightness, contrast, even add a touch of warmth based on your preferences.
The option to apply automatic retouches is one of the standout features of Portraiture. What’s more, the results are quite good and oftentimes don’t need any more changes. Portraiture is available as a one-time purchase. While existing users are eligible for a free upgrade. New buyers might want to consider older versions, though, as there are very few differences with the newest release.
Intuitive and highly effective retouching tool
If you’ve been looking for an easy and effective way to make retouches to your photos, Portraiture is a good option to consider. Despite the very few new changes, existing users will still appreciate the free upgrade. If you’re a new buyer though, this app is still highly recommended, but maybe consider its older, cheaper versions that offer pretty much the same functionalities.
