Solve puzzles for your sexy hostess
Pleasure Island is a free brainteaser app set in a world hosted by sexy illustrated women. Step into a land of neon lights and test your wits as you try to solve puzzles within the time limit.
The publicity images for the game suggest a visual novel with a sexy theme, similar to Katawa Shoujo. This is misleading, as it actually turns out to be a puzzle game comparable to Candy Crush Saga for Windows 10, which is based on matching colored tiles.
Match the gems on the grid
Pleasure Island involves a 6×10 grid with various colored gems. The gems come in four colors — if three end up in a line, they will disappear and earn you points. The goal is to swap gems and create lines. The gems can be swapped two at a time, but unless a matching line is made, the swap will revert.
Score serial matches
Gems that form matching liens will disappear, and more gems will fall from above to fill the holes. Because of this, it is possible to score serial matches as more lines are formed by the new gems. Score enough serial matches, and lightning will strike away a selection of gems, boosting your score still more.
More puzzling than sexy
Those who download Pleasure Island because it was marketed as a sexy game might be disappointed. The artwork of the hot hostesses is confined largely to the loading screens. Beyond this, the game contents itself by evoking the neon lights of Las Vegas.
A solid puzzle game
Get past the gimmicky aspects, and Pleasure Island turns out to be a solid puzzler. It’s attractively presented in terms of sound and graphics, and the gameplay mechanics are straightforward and addictive, even if the game does little new for the genre.
