Create your own 3D videogames
I’m sure many videogame players have considered creating their own game at some point. The problem is having the necessary knowledge for this kind of project.
With Platinum Arts Sandbox things just got a bit easier. With this visual, intuitive editor you can take your first steps in the world of game development without having to wrestle with endless lines of indecipherable source code.
Platinum Arts Sandbox doesn’t require installation – you simply unzip the archive in a folder and you can run the program straight away. The first time you launch it you’ll be presented with a short tutorial about the main features and functions, and then you’re left on your own.
The program includes a few custom maps you can use to gather ideas, check what kind of games you can create or even as template to start creating your own. Platinum Arts Sandbox runs quite smoothly and I’m sure it’s a lot easier than coding a game from scratch, but it still requires you to devote some effort – and above all, loads of time – if you want to obtain good results. In fact I’m surprised the program is meant to be used by kids!
If you’ve always wanted to create your own videogame, take a look at Platinum Arts Sandbox, a 3D game creation platform with an intuitive visual environment.
