Tap away to create the ideal pajama party
PJ Party – Crazy Pillow Fight is a free to play game designed with children in mind, where you plan and then have a pajama party with your girl friends.
Plan the perfect pajama party
The game is based around mini-games, which are all very simple. You have to create invitations, for example, which just means picking from a variety of designs, and you can design your own pajamas and pillow. There’s no better or worse way to play the mini-games, you simply have to go through the motions of each to unlock the next stage, before eventually hosting your PJ Party.
Then, of course, its pillow fight time, which again is a mini-game, but not a very fun one. Other activities include stopping nightmares, a candy hunt, face painting, and more. Some of these require in-app purchases to open.
Cute, but full of ads
PJ Party – Crazy Pillow Fight has a bright, cartoony style ideal for kids, although the whole thing is extremely stereotypically ‘girly’, full of pinks and giggly sound effects. It’s not exactly progressive. It’s also full of ads, which appear constantly. It’s not a game you can safely leave your kids playing alone, unless you pay to turn off the ads and in-app purchases. You can ‘unlock’ the full ad free version of PJ Party – Crazy Pillow Fight for $4.99, and parents might appreciate this, as this ‘free’ version is absolutely stuffed full of in-app purchases and ads that could lead to yet more purchases. You can turn off in-app purchases on your device, but you’ll still see lots of ads.
Mindless… fun?
There’s little skill involved in playing PJ Party – Crazy Pillow Fight. The mini-games that make it up are bland and repetitive. The general feeling is that you are mindlessly tapping away for no reason, and it doesn’t seem engaging enough to be something a parent would want their kids to spend time doing. While some of them allow you to be creative, it’s not enough to make a huge impact on the game overall.
