Free-to-play virtual dating experiment

Picka : 30 Days to Love is a free simulation game from Plain Bagel Inc. This virtual dating sim explores the concept of “Love at First Message,” giving you a fast-paced yet realistic experience in developing a relationship. You get 30 days to meet a cast of virtual characters, get to know them, and hopefully start a romance with one of them.

Its heart-racing gameplay pace, the use of Korean webtoon art styles, and its efforts to capture normal, everyday scenarios all make Picka : 30 Days to Love an excellent alternative to My Dog Girlfriend or Moonlight Lovers.

Create your own love story

One secret to the appeal of Picka : 30 Days to Love is that it offers a virtual Korean drama experience. Korean names for its characters, the use of pastel-colored art styles, and a light overall story all make it feel like a Korean series—and you get to be in the center. You play as Ha Yeonwoo, an average girl in an eight-character ensemble of four boys and four girls.

Now, unlike most dating sims, this game lets you anonymously send “hearts” and gifts to whoever you want. Conversely, you also receive these things without a clue as to who sent them. A game master of sorts appears later, giving you challenges and issues to help you accelerate your prospects at romance in the 30-day period. This part adds variety and even introduces social deduction elements.

However, in creating its own immersive experience, it becomes less appealing to people looking for customization. You can’t change names or modify your appearance. Also, it’s a single-player game with the other characters being nonplayable characters (NPC). This limits the replayability of the game because they start to become predictable after a few tries, although you can still check out any of its multiple endings.

Experience a roller-coaster love affair

If you’re looking for an exciting dating sim experience, Picka : 30 Days to Love offers a good place to start. Its unique webtoon appeal will definitely cater to a lot of younger players, working well with its fast-paced gameplay and quick resolution with multiple endings available. However, its rigid setup means no customization options available, which could pose issues in terms of being relatable to the player. Still, it’s recommended.
