Blast through enemies in this VR FPS

Pavlov VR is an action video game that lets you take part in high-intensity battles. Developed by Vankrupt Games, this 3D first-person shooter game is a multiplayer virtual reality adventure that features some realistic shooting mechanics and the backdrop of both modern and previous warfare settings.

Similar to Crisis VRigade, Pavlov VR offers frenetic FPS action that you need to face with VR controls. However, it’s much more focused on the multiplayer aspect and offers classic game modes that can be found in other FPS games. It’s considered one of the more popular VR shooter games around despite the lack of consistent major updates.

What do you need to play Pavlov VR?

Like classic FPS titles such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Pavlov VR offers some solid shooting gameplay and multiplayer game modes. Some of its most popular modes include Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Free for All. These are all set on both modern and WWII era maps, with their appropriate combat gear. An operable tank here, in fact, realistically requires more than one person to man it.

This makes the game highly fun and addictive thanks to its community-oriented gameplay. It has proximity voice chat and radio communication, and there are even community-hosted dedicated servers to make sure that you always have someone to play with. Plus, it greatly supports community content such as original maps and player skins. You can still play it solo and offline. However, the content here isn’t as engaging as the online multiplayer mode.

To play, you need the supported VR equipment such as Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift for the headsets. Next, your PC rig needs to be a bit beefy. The game needs a 64-bit operating system and a Quad-Core 3Ghz processor. Its graphics card should reach a minimum of a GTX 1070 card, while its memory and storage space should at least be 8GB RAM and 30GB, respectively.

Play with friends or strangers

All in all, Pavlov VR is a great first-person shooter game to try out if you’d like to test your skills in virtual reality. While it’s not the best overall, it does have some pretty good features that entice its players to come back every now and then. Additionally, its support of community-created mods and add-ons make it an enriching multiplayer FPS title for the VR platform.
