Get notified of mail in your Outlook Web Access account
If you’ve got a Microsoft Outlook Web Access account and use a Mac, then you’ll know how annoying it is to keep having to check your inbox rather then get alerted of new mails automatically.
OWANotifier is an attempt to help you by providing automatic alerts for any new mail received in your Microsoft Outlook Web Access account. This small app is programmed in Python and requires nothing more than your login credentials to starts sending you Growl alerts.
The problem is, although it does connect and log into your account simply by clicking on the small envelope in your menu bar, the Growl notification system does not work. According to the developer page, it seems that it works with Exchange 2007 but not with Exchange 2003 and the issue is currently being worked on.
OWANotifier is a great idea and when the Exchange 2003 problem is sorted out, it will be an invaluable little tool for anyone working on Outlook Web Access on a Mac.
