An FPS that supports mods

Operation: Harsh Doorstop is a free game that lets you take part in high-octane shootouts between bots or real players. Boasting realistic graphics and excellent sound design, you’d feel as if you’re fighting enemy soldiers on a real battlefield, which adds to the immersion.

Operation: Harsh Doorstop supports mods, adding creative flavor to the gritty atmosphere of the game. The character models, though, look bland and funny. Also, its single-player mode is boring, so it’s best if you treat it as a training ground for honing your aim and movement. Unfortunately, do expect to encounter cheaters in your matches.

Has modding capabilities

If you love playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) or Call of Duty, you’ll certainly have a good time playing as a soldier in Operation: Harsh Doorstop. Ideal for casual and hardcore games, it features both single-player and multiplayer modes. When the former is clicked, you can choose a map, set the number of bots for each team, and choose your preferred faction.

In multiplayer mode, you can choose from a list of global servers that you can refresh at any time. The filters on the left side of the screen allow you to find non-password-locked servers or sort them by ping, making server searching a less tedious process. Once you’ve clicked on a server, you’ll be able to see the following information: name, player count, and IP address.

If you’re a modder, this FPS game is a blessing since you can modify it according to your preferences. For example, you can fight a swarm of alien Archanids in the Troopers mod, or play as a member of the Delta Force or the Mogadishu Militia team in Delta Force ’93 (Black Hawk Down) and Mogadishu Militia ’93 (Black Hawk Down), respectively. Therefore, making the game more entertaining and imaginative.

Great but not entirely perfect

Apart from its high-quality graphics and sound design, Operation: Harsh Doorstop boasts modding support to spice up your gaming sessions. With mods, you can change your soldier’s look and shoot aliens, to give a few examples. Unfortunately, there are going to be cheaters in the game, which ruins the fun. Other than that, it has a boring single-player mode and funny-looking character models.
