Whimsical skateboarding game for PC
OlliOlli World is a premium sports game made by game developer Roll7 for PC. It is a 2D skateboarding platformer wherein players can enjoy practicing their tricks, interact with a cast of colorful characters, and explore a vibrant world brimming with myths about the skate god.
Compared to Skater XL or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, OlliOlli World takes on a more casual approach, with gameplay that focuses on providing a fun and engaging experience to players. It also features plenty of cosmetic items to let them personalize their character any way they want.
Pull an ollie off
Skateboarding is viewed in many different ways depending on who you ask. For its most dedicated fans, it’s an action-oriented sport that centers around pulling off impressive tricks. Meanwhile, others see it as a recreational activity to bond over with friends during your free time, while others still consider it a simple and convenient method of transportation. Combine all of them, and you get OlliOlli World.
This game is set in Radlandia, a vibrant skateboarding utopia brimming with character and cool locations to explore. Learn the ropes and practice your moves in Sandbox Mode. Once you get the hang of things, you can then test your skills in the Leagues which feature a combo system that lets you combine any of the more than 100 moves available to get the highest scores possible.
The game also features a wide selection of cosmetic items that you can unlock through special rewards. Use them to personalize your character with a style that is unique to you. One major thing that needs to be addressed in future updates would be the controls. They are rather unintuitive and there is no option to remap them either, which detracts from the experience you can have.
The city is your playground
Overall, OlliOlli World is a charming game to consider if you’re looking for a more fun and chill skateboarding experience that you can play at your own pace. It looks great, the gameplay is easy to get into, and there are plenty of things to do and explore. Hopefully, the issue with its controls will be addressed sooner rather than later.
