3D poly racing game
Neodori Forever is a premium racing game developed by Strobetano and Crescent Moon Games. This retro experience features 3D low poly graphics that take players back to the early stages of 3D graphics of the early 80s. You get to enjoy different game modes, from the straightforward Simple Race mode to the online Versus mode. You can even drive day and night with Forever Mode.
With a colorful palette on top of an instantly recognizable art style, Neodori Forever is more than what it seems. It has a competitive aspect, comparable to Asphalt 9: Legends, but with stripped-down graphics.
Experience colorful retro racing
The first thing to notice and love about Neodori Forever is its visual presentation. It uses low poly for the graphics, from the cars to the set designs. Despite this, the game offers some smooth animation that adds to the immersive experience. Expect precise handling and exciting turns to make among its randomly generated levels, making sure that every run is unique.
As mentioned, the game has different game modes to cater to different players. All these modes are spread across 11 unique environments, with different racetracks generated for each of these areas. Most of these stages even feature the day and night cycle, most especially the Forever Mode, which lets you explore a randomly generated world with no pressure. The game even supports gamepads for more gameplay possibilities.
Of course, there is a learning curve to the game. Fans of the racing game subgenre might find that the vehicles here are heavier, or that they accelerate very slowly. The same problems have been observed by players whenever they try to drift in races. These issues are easy to adapt to in single-player mode but could throw off inexperienced players in multiplayer games.
Retro visuals with retro mechanics
Neodori Forever still has a long way to go in terms of capturing accurate racing mechanics such as acceleration and drifting. These mechanical issues in the game make it challenging to enjoy the game, especially in multiplayer games. Other than that, the retro visuals are already on point. Paired with randomly generated levels and a wide variety of set designs, make it a promising and replayable racing game.
