Monster battling RPG
Neo Monsters is a roleplaying game developed by NTT Resonant. In this game, you will hunt down the strongest monsters and train them. Once you have harnessed their powers, you can dominate the online arena by participating in exciting PvP battles.
Mechanics-wise, Neo Monsters is not terribly different from Hunter Island—another monster battling game from the same developer. Both of which ape Nintendo’s Pokemon experience. Although, this game will take you back to the medieval era, and instead of pokeballs, you will use slate-looking cards. You will also explore the game map to capture monsters and participate in tournaments.
What is Neo Monsters?
As in previous NTT Resonant games, you will play as a monster trainer in Neo Monster. In the game, you inherit the legacy of your uncle as a champion monster breeder. You will follow in his footsteps and try to carve your name in the monster battling arena. You will explore the vast game map to hunt down the strongest monster and add them to your collection.
Fighting is, unsurprisingly, the core of this game. Your captured monsters are wild at first and need training. You must fight them to train them. As with other games that ride the coattails of Pokemon, you will need to keep the elemental hierarchy in mind during battles. Fire monsters are weak to water monsters, and so on. Additionally, you will also collect evolution ingredients to create the monster’s ultimate power.
This game has over 1000 fully animated monsters. You can create teams of up to 16 monsters and participate in epic 4×4 PvP battles. The main campaign offers over 60 hours of content. Here, you can conquer six leagues to become the grand champion. You can also take the battles online and duel players in PvP leagues. Moreover, you can complete online missions and join weekly events to unlock rewards.
Should you download this game?
Like its predecessors, Neo Monsters offers a solid and addictive strategy-RPG experience. It comes with an impressive roster of collectible monsters, which you can train and evolve. Not only that, but there’s a great deal of content on hand to give you hours of entertainment. However, be ready to do a lot of grinding if you don’t wish to spend bucks on strong monsters. Also, expect some unbalanced player match-up.
