A free time-saving folders function for Windows operating system
MyFolders is a free tool. It is like a Windows operating system extension as it extends the use of the right-click menu on the desktop. It adds an option called “My Folders” to the right-click menu. Click the “My Folders” option and choose to move or copy your selected files into your selected folders.
Just like how WinRar appears in your right-click menu when you select a compressed file, the “My Folders” function appears when you select a regular file. Add your folders to the file shortcut app just like how you add programs with IObit Uninstaller.
What is MyFolders?
Let’s say you want to move a music file in the usual manner from your downloads folder to your music folder. You would have to select, cut, and then navigate to your music folder and paste it in there. With the MyFolders function, you add folders to the tool, and when you right-click, your folder is selectable in the menu itself.
How do I pick folders?
You add your folder to the tool through the settings menu. For example, if you often move files from your download folder to your music folder, add your music folder to the tool, and it will appear in the right-click menu. You can then select your file, right-click, select “Music Folder” and transfer the file with just a click.
A time saver under some circumstances
In many cases, this right click menu add-on is unnecessary. However, people who deal with many files in one session, such as photographers, website makers, etc., may appreciate a quicker way of moving files from one folder to several others.
Makes multiple backup sessions easier
If one were transferring files for backup purposes, each backup folder could be added to this file organizer tool to make backups more efficient. The tool is lightweight, doesn’t add bloat, and doesn’t slow down the right-click menu activation.
