Rehabilitation doesn’t have to be boring
My Nurse Girlfriend : Sexy Hot Anime Dating Sim—or simply My Nurse Girlfriend—is a free adventure mobile video game that lets you find the perfect lover while you’re healing up. Developed by Genius Studio Japan Inc., this 2D visual novel mobile game features classic dating simulation gameplay mechanics while making use of a daily ticket system and in-game currency.
Similar to My Rental Girlfriend, My Nurse Girlfriend offers three beautiful love interests for you to pursue, as well as one secret choice. The game is divided into two seasons and is segmented into episodes and bonus scenes for each girl.
A blessing in disguise
In My Nurse Girlfriend, you play as a nameable star soccer player from high school who ends up at the hospital due to an accident. Sadly, you’ll have to stay for a long while to recover from your injury but luckily enough, the hospital has some interesting and pretty girls who catch your attention. There are three girls at the start: kind-hearted Louisa, sharp-tongued Miki, and peculiar Rena.
Unlike most dating sims, pursuing your chosen girl here isn’t as straightforward as simply picking a route and sticking to it. You’ll be going through a linear plot for each of the two seasons and eventually interacting with all the girls at certain points. You develop your relationship with them by selecting one of the two action choices that pop up. The same applies to Premium Scenes—although these cost Rubies.
Story-wise, the game actually offers a well-rounded plot and cast of characters. It does get corny and awkward at times, though, since the narration doesn’t really dwell on the details like some of the more eloquent VNs out there. However, the real frustrating thing is that you can immediately jump into Season 2 without playing Season 1—and get spoiled and confused by the previous relationships you were supposed to have.
Easy to play
All in all, My Nurse Girlfriend is a fun little dating sim mobile game you can try out if you like to court a love interest without having to default to a specific route. The gameplay is easy enough and you can opt to unlock exclusive Premium Scenes. However, if you’re looking for more deeply complex stories, this isn’t the right game as you can even skip Season 1 completely.
