An anime-style memory game
Mumei’s Memory Juggling is a free-to-play card game from David Wu SoftDev. In this memory game, you help Mumei to get her to learn all the names of Hololive talents through a pair-up puzzle challenge. However, it’s not the usual memory game as uncovering the correct pairs can activate special effects that affect the remaining cards on the table.
As a story-driven card game, Mumei’s Memory Juggling offers a sense of progress as you play through its stages. There are stages to complete and bosses to defeat. It’s like a card-centered Smol Ame or Avoid hololive MEME.
Help Mumei remember other Hololive artists
The premise of Mumei’s Memory Juggling is to have you, the player, help Nanashi Mumei–an English-language virtual YouTuber (V-Tuber)–to learn the names of her other teammates in the Hololive family. Aside from her, you can also play as other Hololive V-Tubers as you unlock them. This makes the game fun and replayable, as each character has its own dialogue and distinct personality.
There are different game modes for you to enjoy. The main feature is a Story Mode where you guide Mumei as she interacts with the other Council members, remembering the names of which is proving to be a challenge for her. After defeating a member, they become playable. You can also challenge yourself with Time Trial Mode, or practice your memory in Solo Mode.
You can even compete with other, AI-controlled Council members or against another human being with the Versus mode. However, the multiplayer game is limited only to a local multiplayer setup. The only catch in a casual game this fun is that some players have reported certain bugs occurring in the game, such as games crashing back to the main menu.
Great for V-tube fans
With the increasing popularity of virtual YouTubers, Mumei’s Memory Juggling is a great addition to the growing community of fanmade games. Using the memory puzzle format, this game creates a refreshing experience that allows players to guide a V-Tuber and meet other online celebrities. The game even takes the effort to create multiple game modes to suit various player needs. Apart from a few bugs, the game is excellent.
