Musical brain training!
According to some people, being musical can thicken your synapses, making the brain work faster. Whether that’s true or not, Mozart Brain is designed to give you a ten minute musical workout everyday, with challenges that get progressively more difficult.
The interface is very simple. There are three big arrows, and in each challenge, a sequence of notes is played, and the arrows flash in time with the music. You then have to reproduce what you heard and saw, and are scored for pattern and rhythm accuracy. It’s really easy to play, tapping out the rhythm and patterns on the screen. The challenges do get hard too, so you will need to improve your skills to beat the later courses.
Mozart Brain is designed for people with no musical training, and it’s worth noting that the musically trained might find some of the patterns unintuitive, as the patterns don’t necessarily coincide with notes going up and down! It’s also a bit boring to watch, as the background never changes, the music is never really interesting.
It might not really improve your mental skills, but Mozart Brain is still a fun and challenging game when played in short bursts.
